Beds are used for sleeping. It is a furniture strictly for your home base and can only be build in here. A simple bed comes with your home, but you are able to upgrade it. The more you upgrade, the better recovery you will get when you sleep.
Lost in Blue[]
In Lost in Blue, two simple beds are found in the cave Keith and Skye live in. They appear to be made of straw or grass. These are uncomfortable and don't give a good night's rest. These beds can be upgraded three times.
